Our Staff
Our staff are our most prized resource. We support and encourage our staff to achieve higher qualifications and to find their passions within our setting and share them with the children. Be that tending our allotment and orchard with the children, organizing cooking activities, singing and dancing or working with children with additional needs. We believe happy and fulfilled staff create a happy, fulfilling and rich environment in which our children can feel safe and thrive.
Many of our staff have been with Sunrise for over 10 years with 2 members of staff recently celebrating 20 years with us. Caring for children is these women's true calling and they are as fresh and excited about encouraging our children as they were when they first started. These staff have helped so many local children on their journeys and we always welcome visits from our 'grown up' children!
All staff are DBS checked and trained in Pediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding, Behavior Management and in the use of our on site Defibrillator.
Most of our staff are NVQ Level 3 qualified in Childcare or above with several working towards Level 4 and 5 qualifications.

Our Manager Lisa Sennewald has been with us since 2006, working her way up through the nursery. Her passion lay with the Baby Toddlers where she was an excellent Room Leader for many years before progressing to Deputy Manager then finally to Manager. She has a thorough understanding of all ages within the nursery and works passionately to ensure that both staff and children receive everything they need to facilitate outstanding learning opportunities . She is still very drawn to spending time with the children and can often be found dancing around with the Baby Toddlers!
We pride ourselves on our great relationships with our parents and always have time to give thorough feedback at the end of the day. We will also update you regularly via photo's on Tapestry - our online learning journal.
A member of the Management Team is always available to discuss any issues you may have and we strive to provide the highest levels of service.
